Dolphin is the term which is generally applied to a steemit.com user who is relatively established on steemit and, who has built up a significant amount of Steem Power. Therefore, their influence over aspects of the website steemit.com such as voting power and payouts is usually much higher than "Minnows." Dolphins are generally considered to be the second tier of steemmit.com users who bridge the gap between "Minnows" and "Whales."
