Steem exchanges are online cryptocurrency exchanges that support trading Steem. Online cryptocurrency exchanges are websites where you can buy, sell, or exchange cryptocurrencies for another digital currency or fiat money (USD, EUR, etc). Steem was officially launched in July 2016 being traded by Openledger and Bittrex. Openledger and Blocktrades offer wallets located in Bitshares blockchain, another cryptocurrency created by the Steem blockchain co-founder Dan Larimer. In January 2018, due to high demand and interest in STEEM Tokens, the Steemit, Inc team published a post with a video tutorial and guide is to make it as easy as possible for exchanges to adopt and run STEEM.[1]
